COLLEGEHUMOR
REFRESH

At nearly 20 years old, Collegehumor, had seen its fair share of design updates.

This time, we needed to create a system that not only revived the palette & logo, but also distinguished between unscripted & scripted content on the channel.

Design Director | Paula Searing
Motion Graphics | TJ Gonzales
Graphic Designer | Madelin Lum

X A lot of different guidelines in use.
X Multiple sans serif typefaces in use.
X Multiple logo files in use.
X Muted blue & orange don’t match the upbeat tone of the content.
X No clear system to share content types, tune-in info, etc.

SOLUTIONS

We punched up the core brand colors and introduced a vibrant tertiary palette.

MOTION GRAPHICS

With help from motion designer, TJ Gonzales, we injected a rush of color block personality to the channel broadcast graphics. The most noticeable being a brand new opening sequence.

DIGITAL SERIES

This also gave us a framework to quickly turn around series branding for digital pilots.
